October 30th, 2008The Economy’s Got Me Down

This stupid economic crisis we’re in is not helping me out one bit. It’s put me in a mode of “oh crap what am I going to do now that I have no money!!!” kinda mode.

Here’s the pros and cons of the crap economy:

Cons: I’m running out of cash
Getting people financed on anything is tough as balls, even with good credit
Accounts receivable is getting bigger
Our government is going to a socialistic role
Did I mention I’m running out of cash?

Now the PROs: The stock market WILL go up
We are at the lowest point in the last 30 years, however after the last low the economy bounced back over 40% in the following year or two! Talk about MAJOR good time to invest!!!
It can’t get any worse, I think
I may have a smaller house to clean next year
And cheaper insurance for my cars car
We’ll all realize how stuck up we were and people will be friendlier

I don’t know if the pros outweigh the cons at present, but it’s worth taking a look at to up my spirits. I think I’ll go invest the $10 I have left in my bank account!

“Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction..”
– Albert Einstein

Ron Paul tried to do this through his candidacy for President, namely on the tax code and federal spending.

Why didn’t we support him enough? The politicians have made these things so over-complicated, somehow it sounds like a good idea to add more to it, instead of simplifying government and making things EASIER and CHEAPER for us, the taxpayeres…

October 27th, 2008Smallville now on Joost!

One of my favorite TV shows, Smallville, is now on Joost! Joost is an online TV site, where you can watch TV for free. They interrupt with ads just like regular TV, HOWEVER they aren’t nearly as long of breaks, I’ve only seen one ad per break, and it only happens once or twice during the show. So not nearly as annoying as regular TV, for a much better price — FREE.

Now, you won’t be able to watch your TV shows as they appear live. Networks have to maintain their dominance in the world. However, if you’re like me and don’t have to see the “premier show” right as it comes on TV, this is perfect.

99% of the time I record it over DVR and watch it later so I can skip the commercials.

Another neat feature is you get to see videos that you won’t see on regular TV, like the pilot of WB’s new “Aquaman” which you can watch on Joost now.

So, although I wouldn’t pull the plug right away on your satellite or cable just yet, it is very promising what the future holds for TV– CHOICE!

I’m selling this Ferrari for a friend. It’s on eBay, bid now!

If you are not familiar with the item, “Magic Shell” is an ice cream topping that freezes instantly when it touches the ice cream, giving it a hard shell covering.
